Weight Loss Vs. A Bad Economy - How Can You Live Healthy In A Unhealthy Economy?
Is it possible to get weight loss and stay healthy in a bad economy?
As of the date of this post, gas prices are going back up. The stock market is shaky. The prices of just about everything is going up. Salaries are getting smaller. Jobs are being lost. As far as the political stuff is concerned......I'm not even going to touch that with a 50 foot pole!
Anyway, we all are making compromises during this time with everything in our daily lives. Now, the question is should there be a compromise with obtaining and/or maintaining good health in a bad economy? Well, to help you answer that question, let me put my rhetorical hat on. What's more important, your health or money?
The way I look at this dilemma (good health in a bad economy) is not by "compromise", but more so along the lines of "adjustment". Your health is the absolute most important asset you have. Fixing it or maintaining it should be no question.
Now, above I mentioned "adjustment". Therefore I don't mean to go out and drop all of your money on anything and everything pertaining to good health (gym memberships, supplements, healthy foods, exercise clothing, books, diet programs, etc.), what I'm talking about is learning how to still live healthy even though that green paper in our wallets and purses is getting thinner before we do!!!!!
How can you live healthy and get weight loss in a bad economy when everything is so expensive? Well, I'm not going to go too deep into it, but I'll give you a few examples:
Food -
Instead of fresh chicken breast, buy the frozen packs. They have the same taste, the same nutrients, except they last longer and COST LESS! The same thing for veggies (I buy a big ol' bag of broccoli from the market that costs me about $4 and lasts for about 1 1/2 weeks for a family of four!).
Water -
Seriously, are you trying to look cute or something? Put that freaking fancy spring water bottle down and go get yourself a water filter for your faucet!!! Do you know how much money you'll save.....and it's the same quality water and taste just as pure as that fancy spring water! I recommend for you to get yourself a PUR Water Filtration System , where you can get up to 100 gallons of purified water off of one filter!
Fitness -
Is there a rule I don't know about that says you HAVE to go to the gym to get weight loss and build muscle? There is absolutely nothing wrong with working out at the comfort of your home! In fact, you can lose a lot of weight plus burn belly and body fat faster at home with this top rated home fitness and diet program......that cost less than 1 months worth of a gym membership!
Listen, the bottom line is that you should never compromise getting good health just because the economy sucks. Simply make some adjustments so that you can stay consistent with your weight loss, fat loss, and overall better health goals.
