2966138945_02851cf882[1]Some time's no matter how hard we try thing's don't always go the way we intend as far as trying to lose excess weight. Here are ten steps that will help you.


1. Think thin a lot whenever you can wherever you can, have you any photo's of when you where thin ? us them as inspiration


2. When you go shopping make sure you know beforehand what you want write a list of the foods that you need and nothing else, avoid the chocolate isle and snack isle crisps etc


3.  Notice your self talk what is it positive or negative, we become what we do most and think if you say to yourself "I can't exercise and lose weight" then your mind will accept these as reality and you won't get very far


4. Where you can put reminders in front of you in prominent places eg on the fridge door use positive affirmations carry cards around with you that have your goals on


5. Become aware of what kind of eater you are, do you eat whilst watching television? or when your bored, do you eat for comfort if so you need to replace those habits with other one's


6. Make sure you exercise and keep it up if your exercising in the house, you might find it's ok for a while but you might feel better going for a walk or run, if you can partner up with someone and support each other


7. Try not to weigh yourself everyday I used to do this and it can create bad feelings, weigh yourself once a week or twice a week that way you will get a better idea of how much you weigh


8. Join a on-line weight loss community such as forum or look for one that has blogs, or start your own there are quite a few free blogging platforms


9. Record your progress either in a electronic format or write it down with pen and paper


10. Watch your portion size it's easy to fill your plate up with , and eat it, thing is you rarely know how much you have eaten, a good rule of thumb is have a closed fist of each type of so one fist for each type eg carbs, protein, fibre


All these are is common sense but sometimes we have ingrained habits which over time can be hard to shake off so seeing it from a different perspective can help.
