You have two types of body fat... They are called subcutaneous and visceral. Watch Out for these 2 Types of Body Fat


Subcutaneous fat is the noticeable layer of fat that lies just below the skin. It's the type of body fat that makes us look softer in appearance.


The other type of body fat is called visceral fat which is located beneath the muscles and typically surrounds vital organs. It's also often referred to as intra-abdominal fat because of its proximity to the organs beneath your muscle.  Additionally, visceral fat is metabolized by the liver which turns it into blood cholesterol and can lead to significant health risk factors. And since visceral fat can really only be measured by an imaging machine it is hard to figure out exactly what percentage you have.


The best thing you can do is focus on adding in a few more days of intense exercise into your weekly routine. Ideally, you will be able to fit in 5 days of moderate to vigorous exercise with the goal of burning body fat.


Remember, with every pound that you lose you will be improving the quality of your health as well!
