Burn Off Belly Fat the Fast Way After reading Duke University's study on belly fat loss it seems apparent that cranking up your exercise intensity is one of the best ways to burn off deep belly fat.


Here are some of the study's results:
• Inactivity led to a buildup of fat deep inside the belly.
• Modest amounts of exercise held the line on deep belly fat.
• Higher amounts of exercise cut deep belly fat and fat around the waist.


Before-and-after imaging scans of the belly were done to check visceral fat. Here are the results:
• Visceral fat rose by nearly 9% in the idle group.
• Visceral fat didn't change with low amounts of exercise (at either intensity).
• Visceral fat dropped 7%, on average, in people who got a lot of vigorous exercise.


The group that got the most vigorous exercise also had a 7% drop in fat around their waistlines. They were the only group that lost fat.


So although I believe in including longer slow walks into your workout program for overall health, I also highly recommend that you include at least 3 days per week of intense workouts if you are trying to lose belly fat.
