In The Pink -- The Way Color Effects Us

Research has shown that color has a profound effect on one's mood, appetite, and energy levels. The same has been said of the weather. Perhaps that is why some people feel more upbeat on sunny days, and less so when the weather is gray or dreary.
Blues and greens soothe and relax the body and mind. Shades of bright purple empower us. Reds and yellows energize. (An aside: do not paint your kitchen red or bright yellow if you are trying to lose weight, as these hues have a tendency to stimulate the appetite).
Take note of which colors up your level of creativity. These can be very individual in effect. Some colors, for whatever reason, may make one feel edgy and tense.
Next time you are feeling lonely, upset, or down, try exposing yourself to something pink, as in "the pink of health." It doesn't have to involve redoing your entire wardrobe or repainting a whole room. Something smaller can do it: a pink scarf, a pink rose on your desk or in your lapel, or a pink bag.
U-Tip: Take notice of how various colors affect you. Act accordingly : )
What have you noticed about your moods, energy levels, and appetite in connection to color?
